Our Philosophy

Wrestling provides a unique opportunity to develop confidence, learn humility, gain self discipline and acquire a healthy competitive spirit.   The primary development objectives are achievable by all wrestlers regardless of their athletic ability.  The important skills are directly transferable to every endeavor in life.  Achieving these objectives requires a cohesive participation by the wrestler, the parents, and the coaches.

Our coaching staff will never make a champion out of a wrestler.  We can only provide the tools for them to work with and teach them how to use them.  It is up to the each wrestler to select the best of these tools among those we or others have provided throughout their wrestling career. 

Through this selection they must commit to ownership of the tool.  Through their ownership, they must make a commitment of repetitive execution.  Through this execution comes the mastery of the tool.  And through their mastery comes great success in using that tool on the mat.  These elements may or may not generate a champion, but they are definitely ingredients for a great wrestler and a great wrestling career.
